1. Festival of Delicate Flavours

If you are a fan of food festivals, don’t forget to visit the Festival of Delicate Tastes on the second Sunday in October, which will be held at the New Town Hall. You will be able to taste traditional and unusual dishes from different parts of the world, as well as a selection of coffee, delicious wines and other drinks. You can look forward to a variety of dishes such as Belgian fries, sweet churros, pork buns, curries, homemade bacon, sausages, jams and wine. The festival is for anyone who wants to spend a Sunday in a relaxed atmosphere with friends, family or just strolling through historic Prague and enjoying delicious food.

2. Prague Car Festival

On the last weekend of October (28-29 October), the 12th annual celebration of tuning, motorsport, historic cars and motorcycles will take place. The largest exhibition in Central and Eastern Europe should not be missed by any true enthusiast, as visitors will be treated to a unique spectacle of a wide range of unique cars and motorcycles. The exhibition brings together the fields of modified and sports cars, the world of motorsport and vehicle history. Do not hesitate to come and admire these magnificent pieces!

3. Trail of courage in Prague Hostivař

Test your courage on Saturday (28 October) in Hostivař Forest Park, where you can go on a trail full of living and non-living scarecrows, including a real Krampus! This annual and very popular event is suitable for all ages depending on their level of fear. You can choose from a trail with or without a Krampus (even with the use of a flashlight). Along the way, children can look for pictures of scarecrows, play a spooky quiz and younger children can complete simple tasks at some stations.

4. Soup Festival

We recommend that you visit the Smíchov Embankment on Saturday 14 October, where another year of the popular Polívkování will take place. You will be warmed not only by traditional soups such as potato soup, kulajda, cabbage soup, lentil soup, pumpkin soup, dumpling soup or honest broths, but also soups from all over the world, such as Russian borscht, Mexican chips, Malaysian laksa, French bouillabaisse, Vietnamese pho, Moroccan harira or the increasingly popular Japanese ramen. For vegetarians or vegans, there will be a wide selection of vegetable creams and legume soups. There is definitely something for everyone!

5. Halloween at the Prague Botanical Garden

Join the action with a spooky atmosphere, monsters, ghosts and pumpkins everywhere you look! Take your kids to the Prague Botanical Garden on the last weekend of October (28-29 October), where you can buy pumpkins and carve spooky faces into them. There will be competitions, workshops and tricky challenges for children until dark. Musical performances, pumpkin snacks and other surprises will accompany the afternoon. A lantern parade through the Botanical Garden will close the afternoon.

6. Karlín Food Truck Festival

If you would like to sample some delicious food on a Sunday afternoon in October, you can visit Karlínské náměstí on 1 October, where the annual Karlín Food Truck Festival will take place. As always, you can look forward to popular vendors and a few newcomers offering modern street food. The whole event will be accompanied by great (and live) music. The organizers haven’t forgotten about the kids either and have prepared workshops, trampolines and more.

7. Slou Days Prague

From 6 to 7 October, Slou Days will be launched in Prague, a true celebration of sustainability! Participants will have the opportunity to take part in a plethora of interesting themed workshops, the main aim of which is to motivate and inspire visitors to adopt an environmentally friendly approach. During the event, various topics will be discussed, such as sustainable fashion and textile reuse, reducing waste in everyday life and replacing disposable materials. In addition, an exchange party is planned. Come support this great event that promotes a nice (sustainable) idea!

8. Signal Festival in Prague

The eleventh edition of Signal Festival will take place in Prague and will be a celebration of digital and creative culture in the capital of the Czech Republic. Throughout Prague, in the streets, public spaces or famous historical monuments, you will have the opportunity to see contemporary visual art, urban space and modern technology all in one! This year’s theme is ecosystems and their exploration. Nature, technology, society, culture – all of these combine to form the ecosystems in which we live and search for traces of joy, beauty and the excitement of new discoveries.

9. Asia and Chilli Fest Prague

This event is not to be missed by any lover of spicy meals! On the first Saturday in October (7.10.), a chilli celebration will take place at the Prague Market. Come and join the hottest festival under the sun! In addition to the popular chilli-eating competition, visitors will also be treated to the largest Asian martial arts show in the Czech Republic. In addition, there will be great accompanying music, various stalls with chilli processed in different ways – jams, spices and much more!

10. Riegrovy sady in Prague

Come for a walk or spend a pleasant moment with relatives or friends in one of the most beautiful parks in Prague with a fascinating view of Prague Castle! Riegrovy sady, located in the Vinohrady district, offers plenty of places to sit or have a picnic and enjoy a breathtaking view of Prague Castle or Petrin Hill. The park has extensive grassy areas, playgrounds, a sports stadium, sports fields. They are surrounded by relaxed businesses, pubs, cafes, which means they will offer something for everyone! Reiger’s Orchards are 10 minutes from Prague’s famous TV tower and the neo-Gothic St Ludmila’s Church.
