Halloween at the Botanical Garden

The autumn pumpkin exhibition will take place from October 9 to November 1, 2026, in the Ornamental Garden, the Upper Garden, and the Forest exhibit.

This year’s exhibition will evoke an ancient world, transforming the garden into a fairytale forest featuring imaginative pumpkin arrangements inspired by various eras of the distant past—from dinosaurs and prehistoric insects to mammoths and early humans.

The unique pumpkin displays will be created by students from the Czech Horticultural School in Mělník, led by Petra Křížová and in collaboration with the garden’s staff. In addition to the exhibition and pumpkin sales, a program of accompanying activities for families with children awaits you. Offerings include creative workshops, pumpkin carving, face painting, and more. For the specific schedule and workshop prices, we recommend visiting the Prague Botanical Garden website.

Workshops will be held in a heated tent, so you can participate even in case of bad weather.

Standard admission to the exhibition is 180 CZK (150 CZK when purchased online) for adults and 120 CZK (100 CZK online) for children and students. Family tickets are also available.

On October 31, 2026, an afternoon Halloween program for visitors of all ages will take place, followed by a lantern parade through the garden at 6:00 PM.
