Don’t forget to enjoy the unique autumn pumpkin exhibition, workshops, and Halloween celebrations at the Ornamental Garden from October 12 to 31, 2024!
Come experience the unforgettable atmosphere of the autumn pumpkin exhibition, inspired by the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos! The exhibition will feature not only unique pumpkin arrangements but also weekend workshops for both children and adults. The garden will transform into a colorful autumn setting, where visitors can create paper masks, carve pumpkins, or join the spooky lantern procession on Halloween.
What can you look forward to?
– Creative workshops: October 12-13, where children can make their own masks and flowerpots.
– Pumpkin Play: October 19-20, where you can create characters from pumpkins.
– Pumpkin Carving: October 26-27, traditional carving of pumpkin lanterns.
– Halloween: October 31, afternoon crafting and an evening lantern procession through the garden.
Creative Weekends
During the exhibition, there will be a rich weekend creative program. The first weekend, October 12 and 13, will feature workshops inspired by the Mexican holiday, where children will make paper masks and spooky flowerpots. On the weekend of October 19 and 20, enjoy Pumpkin Play, where you’ll create characters from pumpkins and natural materials. At the end of October, on the 26th and 27th, take part in pumpkin carving and lantern making. All activities will take place in a covered exhibition hall, so there’s no need to worry about bad weather.
Halloween Celebrations and Mexican Tradition
The exhibition will traditionally be accompanied by Halloween celebrations on October 31, which include an evening lantern procession through the garden. The fusion of Mexican culture and autumn atmosphere offers a fun program for both young and old. You can look forward to spooky skulls, skeletons, and other Mexican motifs reflecting the spirit of Día de los Muertos, which honors the memory of the deceased.
Accompanying Program and Refreshments
During the exhibition, a wide range of refreshments will be available, including soups, pancakes, and other treats like homemade lemonades and mulled wine for adults. On Halloween, October 31, additional activities will include a lantern-making workshop, a bonfire gathering, roasting sausages, and children’s contests. The traditional lantern procession will conclude the evening’s program.
