Be2Can Festival

Be2Can 2026 will take place in Prague from October 7 to 14, offering audiences the chance to see a selection of the most compelling films from the prestigious festivals in Berlin, Venice, and Cannes.

The opening screening will traditionally be held at the legendary Lucerna Cinema, after which the festival will expand to other cinemas across Prague.

The Be2Can concept brings top-tier works of world cinema to Czech theaters—films that reflect current aesthetic and social trends and showcase the direction of contemporary filmmaking. The festival aims to make arthouse cinema accessible to a wider audience and ensure these films receive the attention they deserve.

The selection is not limited to productions by Film Europe Media Company; the main program is open to all distributors. Visitors can thus look forward to a diverse array of films that have resonated at international festivals but often do not make it into general theatrical release.

Since its inception, Be2Can has become an integral part of the Czech film scene, annually attracting movie lovers eager to experience the atmosphere of the Berlinale, Venice, or Cannes right here in Prague.
