Prague Signal Festival

Signal Festival 2026 will take place in Prague from October 15 to 18, offering the Czech Republic’s largest cultural event that blends modern art, technology, and public space.

Over four evenings, the city’s historic landmarks, squares, and lesser-known corners will transform into a dazzling open-air gallery.

This year’s festival theme is “Dream on! – Dreams and Visions.” It presents a world where reality dissolves and the boundaries between the actual and the dreamlike blur. Visitors can look forward to digital installations, light objects, kinetic sculptures, and projections created by both Czech and international artists.

The festival unfolds along two routes—in Dejvice and the city center—encompassing a total of 17 different locations. We recommend visiting the festival website for a map and further details.

The program features highlights such as the immersive installation *Gate of Imagination* by Milan Cais at Flemingovo Square, the laser projection *Multimmersion_Upside Down* by Taiwanese artist Aka Chang at the Troja-Podbaba navigation canal, and the monumental light installation *Scattered Light* by Jim Campbell in General Lázaro Cárdenas Park. Visual highlights will also include video mapping by Ukrainian artist Svitlana Reinish on the Old Town Hall Tower and a projection by Felix Frank on the Archbishop’s Seminary building.

The program also includes Signal INSIDE, a ticketed section of the festival hosted in striking indoor spaces. Visitors will experience a more intimate atmosphere and become direct participants in the artworks—ranging from the interactive installation *To the Moon* by Laurie Anderson and Hsin-Chien Huang at Divadlo X10 and Kurt Hentschläger’s immersive project *FLUX* at the Savarin Riding Hall, to the Laterna Magika audiovisual performance at the Old Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The festival was created by producer Martin Pošta and his team, who have been bringing leading figures in light design to Prague since 2013. Over the years, Signal Festival has become a symbol of autumn in Prague, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the globe. The 2026 edition promises an even richer program and unforgettable experiences that blend the city, art, and modern technology.
