On November 1, 2026, Prague will come alive with a mysterious atmosphere filled with spirits, legends, and ancient tales. The traditional Parade of Prague Ghosts will begin at 6:00 PM at the Powder Tower, following the Royal Route all the way to Lesser Town Square (Malostranské náměstí). At 7:00 PM, a themed program—marking the anniversary of Vojta Náprstek—will take place at Křižovnické Square. Dozens of characters from Prague’s legends—spirits, devils, and various specters—will appear in the streets to share their stories. The event celebrates Czech traditions and offers an entertaining alternative to Halloween.
The Alternativa festival—a showcase of bold, inventive, and dense music—will take place in Prague from October 30 to November 14. The main festival weekend is scheduled for November 13 and 14 at ARCHA+, though the program begins earlier, on October 30. This year’s 34th edition will feature American ambient composer Grouper (Liz Harris) and an exclusive collaboration between American singer Jarboe (known for her work with Swans) and the high-energy Italian trio Zu. Additionally, a quartet comprising Ursula Sereghy, Sorbitol Drops, Oï les Ox, and Isabella Forciniti has been formed exclusively for Alternativa; the four musicians will blend electronics, organic sounds, experimental pop, and subtle sonic structures.

On November 11th at 11:11 a.m., a procession featuring Saint Martin of Tours on a white horse will set off from the 11th pier of the Charles Bridge. The procession will be led by eleven geese, herded by 11 goose girls. From the Charles Bridge, the procession will move to Křižovnické Square, which will host, among other attractions, a medieval market. The event will also include free tours of the Charles Bridge Museum.
On November 21, 2026, the Prague Exhibition Grounds (Výstaviště Praha) will once again transform into an infernal paradise for the 6th edition of the popular Krampus Show. After several years, the event returns to the area directly in front of the newly renovated Industrial Palace, where over 200 Krampus figures from the Czech Republic and Austria will stage a spectacular display featuring fire, lighting effects, and thumping music. The program includes a family-friendly show starting at 4:00 PM—featuring “gentler” Krampuses—as well as a wilder “Night Show” at 8:00 PM, designed for true Krampus enthusiasts. The event will also feature drummers, dancers, and a diabolical food and drink zone offering hot beverages and traditional specialties.
The French Film Festival returns to Prague cinemas this year, running from November 19 to 25, 2026, and showcasing the best of contemporary French cinema. The festival will pay tribute to one of the most prominent figures in French film: director, screenwriter, and documentarian Agnès Varda. Audiences can look forward to 14 pre-premiere screenings, including films featured at the Cannes Film Festival. The festival will open with the comedy Comédie-Française, directed by Martin Darondeau and Bertrand Usclat.

The Prague Car Festival 2026 will offer a unique spectacle, spanning over 38,000 m² filled with automotive gems.
