Opera legend Plácido Domingo is coming to Bratislava with a spectacular performance to celebrate his 85th birthday. He will be accompanied by the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra during the evening, which will feature dramatic arias, duets, and orchestral compositions from Italian, French, and Spanish opera literature. In addition to this phenomenal artist, the performance will also feature Pavol Bršlík, an internationally renowned Slovak tenor, soprano Adriana Kučerová, young Slovak violin virtuoso Teo Gertler, and soprano Yelena Dudochkin. The entire gala evening will be conducted by Rastislav Štúr.

This year, art lovers who also want to support a good cause can enjoy the Art for Life ballet gala evening. This is a continuation of a long-standing tradition established by the National Cancer Institute in Bratislava. The main idea behind Art for Life is not only to raise awareness, but also to support the fight against cancer. This year, visitors can once again look forward to a selection of the most famous and best from the world of ballet.

A concept that is common in world capitals is coming to Bratislava. For a few hours, the Danube will become a place where gastronomy, music, and a community of people who love quality experiences come together. During brunch on the Danube, you can enjoy a special menu prepared by the chef just for this occasion, a cruise under the bridges of Bratislava, the most beautiful views of Bratislava, and entertainment for children.

Don’t miss the 6th annual educational and entertainment festival for children, where children will not only have fun, but also learn something and develop their creativity. Children and parents can expect a day full of workshops, games and attractions, as well as various programs on stage. Children can try out science experiments, art workshops, a space school, beekeeping at first hand, a Lego zone, or watch masters solve the famous Rubik’s Cube.

The Medieval Festival is designed for all those who love history. They can look forward to demonstrations of medieval crafts, knight tournaments, fencing, as well as theatrical performances, Renaissance dances and medieval fashion. For children, there will be an entertaining magic program and a juggling fairy-tale interactive program from CirKus-Kusu. In addition, visitors can enjoy period stalls with demonstrations of crafts, historical attractions for the little ones and medieval cuisine.

In March, you can also take part in the winter series of Bratislava’s largest marathon, for which the organizers have prepared four editions of the race. Once again, there will be children’s races, a 5 km race, and a 10 km race. As always, the races start in the morning, with the children’s races kicking off the February winter series. Don’t forget, everyone gets a medal. If you can’t participate in the race on a specific day, you can complete it virtually.

The crazy gang with Dan Dangl is back. You can look forward to lots of laughter, improvised scenes, crazy situations, and legendary games that you know from television. Juraj Kemka, Robo Jakab, Michal Kubovčík, Zuzka Šebová-Kubovčíková, Richard Stanke, Juraj “Šoko” Tabaček, Lujza Garajová-Schrameková, and Marián Miezga are looking forward to seeing you.

The original Slovak family musical by Michal Babiak and Milan Malinovský is loosely based on the Czech folk tale Punished Pride from Božena Němcová’s collection National Tales and Legends II. You may know the tale thanks to the famous 1952 film adaptation starring Alena Vránová. New plot twists and new characters await the audience, such as the evil witch Černorada or the crazy clown.
