We love interactive activities that provide both the space for fun and learning. Aurelium in Bratislava is just that kind of space, where not only the children but also adults can find an experiment they will love. Aurelium, the science hub has its door opened to children from 12 years. The entrance fee is 2 euro per child and 4 euro per adult, which we dare to say is next to nothing for all the fun you’ll get. You will find Aurelium at Bojnická 3 in Bratislava.

Combine a pleasant walk in the forest with adrenaline under Kamzík. It is easy to get to Koliba without a car, just get on the trolleybus number 44 and from the final Koliba less mobile (or lazier) will take a small bus number 144 almost to the bobsleigh track on weekends. Parents ride with the smaller ones, children over 8 years old can enjoy the ride on their own. Don’t worry, a lift will take you back up.
Bibiana is an international house of art dedicated to children. It allows children to enjoy and experience art in an untraditional matter. You can rely on Bibiana to have some fantastic program going on, making it a space that is always there to welcome you and your children to the magical world of art. You can find out more about the program and fees on their website.
The Janka Kráľ Skatepark is located under the SNP Bridge in Bratislava and with an area of 1,350 square metres it is one of the largest in Slovakia. Skatepark welcomes all types of wheels – skate 🛼, skateboard 🛹, scooter 🛴 or bicycle 🚲. Next to the skatepark you will find Cvičko, where you can strengthen every single muscle. Movement, cheerful colours and good people will surely lift your and your’s kids mood.
Jump Arena is a lot of fun, kids can try different types of trampoline, foam pit, jumps from the tower to the airbag and much more.

Being active is very important, but sometimes you and your children just need some downtime. Time to sit and relax and watch the new movie together. Check out the program at Cinemax Bory Mall or Cinema City in Aupark, Eurovea or Polus. Or visit some 5D cinemas to have fun.
And again we are in Koliba, just a short walk from the bobsled run you will find a great rope centre. An impressive length of 423 metres, 42 obstacles and three cable cars. The obstacles are of varying difficulty, so the smaller ones, the older ones, even the fit athletes will enjoy them. In May and June they are open on weekends and holidays from 11:00 to 18:00.
On an area of more than 500 m2 you will find a trampoline, car races, a pool full of balls, a wooden historical castle, a corner with dolls, a corner with building blocks, legos, cars, slides, climbing frames, Indian tents and many others. In addition, you will find many creative workshops, children’s theatre, dance rings. Retro Kids can be found in OC Retro on Nevädzova street in Ružinov.
Do your children love animals? Then maybe they will enjoy Abeland, a farmer’s village in Lozorno. Here they will meet the life that our grandmothers and great-grandmothers lived, in pure nature, just a short walk from Bratislava. Children will meet geese, ducks, sheep, goats, as well as pigs and a pony. They can see how vegetables, fruits, herbs or different kinds of flowers grow. There are also slides and climbing frames, and you will certainly enjoy a good coffee, tea or delicious homemade gnocchi or poppy seed gnocchi.
In the end we saved something for lovers of heights and fearless children of fearless parents. The K2 climbing wall, the largest in Bratislava, is a challenge. Demanding climbers, who prefer quality and difficult routes, as well as beginners will find it to their liking. There are many climbing obstacles of different climbing difficulty awaiting children, while they are safely belayed, such as climbing in a dark chimney, climbing a giant cube, taming a dragon, going to the moon, jumping from a crane… up to the classic walls with children’s holds. So, are you going to try it? K2 can be found on the Old Ivánská cesta.
Take a trip to the Bratislava Zoo. You will find camels, lions, bears, penguins, zebras, hyenas, wolves, monkeys, llamas, lynxes, turtles, pythons, birds, you will meet lemur and other interesting animals. Children can take a trip to prehistoric times in a 3D cinema and walk around the Dinopark and get to know its ancient inhabitants.
You can also take your children to the Biofarm in Stupava. They will learn something about growing crops and animal husbandry. They can see with their own eyes, sheep, goats, horses, pigs, cats and dogs. They can see how a sheep is milked and how sheep cheese is made. They can ride ponies, play in the sandpit. Together you can taste fresh, organic produce, eat specialties like homemade gnocchi, homemade strawberry balls, sheep’s cheese, a fresh hot loaf of bread, homemade cakes. The organic farm also organises special events, workshops or educational programmes for families. Sounds like a good outdoor program for the whole family, doesn’t it?
Another good tip for what to do with kids in the city is Prügerka. Prüger – Wallner’s Garden is located near the Horský Park, not far from Funus. Here you will find lots of greenery, climbing frames and a community snack house. Heinrich Prüger, the owner of the garden, was a world-famous hotel manager. He managed renowned hotels in Paris, London and New York. The garden is open every day from 8:00 to 18:00.

Take your children to the Botanical Garden in Bratislava. The Botanical Garden covers an area of 6 hectares and is the largest and oldest garden of its kind in Slovakia. You’ll find over 4,000 species of plants from all over the world, as well as, for example, banana trees, home to giant cacti, some of which are over 100 years old, carnivorous plants as “pets”.
