1. Three Kings’ Procession in Bratislava

For the fifth time, three wise men from the East will visit our capital city to bring joy and light to its streets and squares. The traditional march will start in the courtyard of Bratislava Castle. The kings will be shown the way by starlight, and during their journey they will be joined by shepherds, drummers, children and all those who wish to join the procession. The parade ends its journey in Franciscan Square at the living nativity scene, the place where the kings will present their gifts to the baby Jesus. There will also be a concert, this year featuring the singer Skyva.

2. The Nutcracker

Also in January, you can enjoy a fairy-tale musical on the ice called The Nutcracker. And not just any ice show, apart from Tchaikovsky’s wonderful music, you will also see excellent figure skaters, ice show artists, ice acrobats and beautiful costumes. The show is a musical reworking of Tchaikovsky’s classic fairy tale, as well as brand new instrumentals and original songs.

3. Day of St. George’s Cellars 2025

This January we can’t miss the popular event for all wine lovers either. This year, 25 cellars of St. George winemakers will open their doors and let you taste their great wines. As always, the ticket price includes pocket money, a tasting glass, a map of the cellars and coupons for wine purchases.

4. Winter Food Festival

We have good news for you, you can experience all this from 11 January to 23 February 2025 in Bratislava at the Winter Food Festival.

5. CSOB Winter Series

The winter edition of Bratislava’s biggest running event, the CSOB Marathon, will not be missing this year either. The winter series will consist of four running events, the first one held in December, the second one will be in January and the other two will be in February and March. And again, it will be a combination of classic running races and virtual races. There will be 5km and 10km courses to choose from, and there will also be children’s races at 300m, 600m and 800m depending on age.

6. New Year’s Dance House

We will welcome the New Year in style, with dancing. The Dance House cycle of the XXIII dance season invites Dragúni, Chardáš from Ostrov, or guests from Ukraine Kochanka and Hopak + Pigeon Zakarpattya. Come and have fun in Kacečko on the Stone square. Stefan Štec will sing and dance and Fajta will play.

7. Stand up comedy

Seven quality humorists will test your post-holiday midsection. Jakub Zitron Ťapák, Joe Trendy, Matej Adámy, Marián Psár, Vlado Mikuláš, Viktor Kryukov and Samo Trnka will be behind the microphone with their funny stories. Musical guest Chris Ellys will play to the rhythm.

8. Evening of the best films and series

The past year has brought extraordinary works in the field of world cinema and series television production. And it is during the film evening that we will present the best of last year’s screenings. During the event, Peter Konecny, who travels to film festivals throughout the year, will present more than 30 film countries.

9. Pavol Hammel & Prudy 

Last year, the music legend Prudy celebrated an incredible 60 years on the Slovak music scene. Almost all musical greats, including Marian Varga, Pavel Hammel, Fer Griglak and Fedor Fres, have been part of the famous Slovak band. The legendary album Zvoňte zvonky (Ring the Bells) from 1969 was a breakthrough. Come and remember this Slovak legend and their greatest hits.

10. Slovak Frozen

The story of the two sisters Elsa and Anna from the Ice Kingdom needs no introduction. The Slovak actors who dubbed and sang the fairy tale Frozen have prepared a performance where you can see the story of endless sibling love live. And Olaf the snowman will not be missing!
