The popular Balkan Bashavel is back! The end of fall means it’s back to the clubs. In Bratislava, the DJ duo MALALATA, BALTIC BALKAN and ZOOBLASTERS will play the rhythms of Balkan beats, gypsy, reggae and world music.
MALALATA has been on the scene for 17 years and is synonymous with a unique fusion of balkan beats, gypsy music, reggae and world music. The pair of Slovak DJs fuse these rhythms into distinctive sets, which are complemented by an unbridled and infectiously energetic performance. Under the baton of MALALATA, clubs all over Europe, as well as in distant Japan and Mexico, have been pulsating. The duo has danced their show at the Colours of Ostrava, Pohoda, Grape, Uprising festivals and performed on the same stage with aces such as Parov Stelar, Goran Bregović, Shantel, Mahala Rai Banda or Fanfare Ciocarlia.
🐓 BALTIC BALKANS (LT, live)
The DJ trio from Vilnius, Lithuania, consisting of Lencas, Namas and Marulis, got together in 2008. Since then, they have played many performances not only at parties, but also at festivals and performed alongside stars such as Shantel or Gypsy Hill. In 2012, the trio released their debut EP Katapulta, followed by the EP Balkantinnitus in 2016 and the klezmer-inspired EP Litvish in 2017.
🎺 ZOOBLASTERS (CZ, live)
An imaginative 8-member band from Prague with an international composition, which performs in animal costumes. Their music combines electronic beats, hip-hop rhymes and raw energy. The songs are inspired and influenced by many genres across the musical spectrum.
Entry to the event will be restricted to persons over 18 years of age.
Tickets will be on sale at the door for EUR 12 each.
