On Saturday 25 January 2025 at the Ondrej Nepela Winter Stadium in Bratislava, the wonderful performance of The Nutcracker will bring children and adults alike the magic of fairy tales and super performances of top figure skaters.
The Real Nutcracker on Ice is a modern and imaginative reading of Ernst Theodor Hoffmann’s classic fairy tale story. The dynamism and beauty of figure skating, bright costumes, enchanting music and a light multimedia show come together to tell adults and children a clear story about the importance of believing in miracles.
The team of choreographers from the Czech Figure Skating Association involved the most talented athletes in the show.
Professional athletes and soloists of world ice shows – representatives of the best skating schools, participants of world sports competitions. The show involves artists of the ice show genre, ice acrobats and others.
The show is a musical reworking of the classic fairy tale by composer Tchaikovsky, as well as brand new instrumental compositions and original songs that have already become popular with the show’s audience.
The Real Nutcracker is a musical performance on ice – an incredible show for the whole family. It combines the traditions of classical theatre and the current trends of the global entertainment industry.

Nutcracker:
The Nutcracker by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky is the second most famous ballet in the world in terms of recognition and number of performances. It was first performed on 18 December 1892 at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg.
The story takes place on Christmas Eve at the home of Doctor Stahlbaum with his wife and children, daughter Maria and son Franz. Maria’s godfather, Drosselmeyer, brings her a present, a puppet of a soldier named Nutcracker, about whom he tells her a beautiful story.
The gala evening ends and the guests disperse. Marie returns to the living room to take one last look at the Nutcracker left under the Christmas tree and suddenly everything begins to change. The tree grows and with it the room turns into a huge hall. The toys as well as the Nutcracker come to life and mice appear in the room, led by the Mouse King. They are confronted by the brave Nutcracker with a small army of Christmas toys. Marie will not abandon her hero and helps him.
