A fun, energetic and engaging introduction to improvisational theatre for all! You don’t have to be a born entertainer or have any acting experience. Just come and have fun. This series of games and exercises will cover all the basics of improvisation. We’ll also try out a few improvisational skits at the end.
What you’ll learn:
– that improvisation is not necessarily about being funny
– what improvisation is all about, and how its principles can be transferred to work or personal life
– what the “yes and” principle is
– thinking “out of the box”
– why it is important to listen to the other person in improvisation
– how to react quickly
– how to develop a scene, which is important for the audience
Improvisation is appropriate for all walks of life because it teaches how to respond quickly and positively. Its basis is “yes and”.
