The traditional June event in green, white, and red colors cannot be missed this year either. All lovers of Italian cuisine can once again enjoy delicious delicacies such as cheeses, smoked meats, pasta, and typical Italian desserts at Hviezdoslavovo Square, and of course, prosecco and excellent Italian wine will also be available. This year, you can once again choose from beautiful Italian ceramics, buy high-quality olive oil, honey, and other products with an Italian touch.

Lara Fabian and her amazing voice spanning four octaves and four languages need no introduction. Her long-awaited Voices tour will bring not only her greatest hits to Bratislava, but also new arrangements. And so her Slovak fans can once again enjoy a combination of pop, chanson, jazz, and classical music. Another legend, this time from the Czech Republic, Lenka Filipová, will be a special guest at her concert.

Summer in Bratislava also inevitably includes a weekend when beautiful parks and private gardens that are otherwise closed to the public during the year are opened to visitors. This year, the organizers have chosen the theme “Stone in the Garden”. Many parks and gardens use various types of stone to decorate and complement their exteriors in the form of statues, fountains or benches, because stone, as a natural material, is widely used in garden architecture.

The knights will also start their season in June, right at Devín Castle. An opening ceremony full of fencing and archery awaits you, various performances, oriental dances, a fairy tale about the knight Sam, the Tournament of the Brave – a medieval-inspired story in which brave knights on horseback, including an evil knight who was not invited by anyone, compete for the princess. And there will also be a recital of period music, prose and poetry, a shooting range with bows, crossbows and knife throwing, rides on a live and wooden horse and craft stalls.

He’s back. Mysterious, romantic, terrifying. Count Dracula and the most successful Czech musical about him, which was seen by a record 1.2 million viewers between 1995 and 1998, is returning to Slovakia with the incomparable Daniel Hůlka, whose portrayal of the bloodthirsty count thirty years ago made him famous. This time, the love story will come to life under the open sky, accompanied by the music of Karol Svoboda and lyrics by Zdeněk Borovec.

If you love animals and also like running, this is the ideal event for you. Sign up for a unique run at the Bratislava Zoo. Not only will you help a good cause, but you will also run through places that are inaccessible to the public. All proceeds from the entry fee will go to improving the conditions in the Primate Pavilion. Last year, 550 runners participated in the premiere of this event, raising almost 9 thousand euros, which went to help orangutans. The run is intended for children and adults.

In June, you can enjoy another Czech musical, this time penned by Sagvan Tofi. He paid tribute to Karel Gott, as it is an epic concert version of the musical with songs by this Czech legend. It all begins with the revelation of the story of an old painting that hides the fate of one great lifelong love. Enjoy Karel Gott’s most famous hits in musical arrangements under the open sky.

Fans of the Middle Ages and history will also find something to enjoy in Janko Kráľ Park, where a historical festival will be held. A day full of knight tournaments, fencing performances, and other medieval entertainment will culminate in a reenactment of a field battle. There will also be craftsmen with their products, archery, dancing, and historical music performances, and women will certainly enjoy the historical fashion show.

Pod holým nebom si v júni môžete pozrieť aj ďalšiu koncertnú verziu českého muzikálu, a to jedného z najúspešnejších vôbec, Deti ráje Michala Davida. Decibely lásky, Pár priateľov, „Poupata“, Céčka, a mnohé ďalšie hity Michala Davida zaspievajú české hviezdy na čele so Sagvanom Tofim.

Summer is ideal for musicals, especially hot ones! And one of the most iconic musicals of all time, featuring world-famous hits by the Bee Gees, is coming to Slovakia. The story of Tony Manero, a young man from Brooklyn who escapes the frustrating reality of everyday life every Saturday by hitting the dance floor, where he is the king of the disco. The musical also features Bee Gees hits, including Stayin’ Alive, Night Fever, How Deep Is Your Love, and You Should Be Dancing.

And we will end our overview of the best events in Bratislava in June with a musical. This time, it is purely Slovak. Everyone knows the phrase “Anča, ja mám nožík!” (Anča, I have a knife!). Kubo, played by Jozef Króner, is also well known. The musical Kubo is an adaptation of the play of the same name by Jozef Hollý, which was made famous in its time by the legendary Jozef Króner in the film version. In this performance, the authors combine folk music with modern arrangements.
