On Saturday, May 17, 2025, the 13th edition of the Pink May at Náplavka Festival will take place at Rašín Embankment in Prague, celebrating rosé wines and clarets from Moravia and Bohemia. Visitors can enjoy tastings from over 25 wineries, a variety of food stalls, and live music ranging from folk to jazz and swing. The event runs from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Food Fest on Střelecký Island will take place from May 9 to 11, 2025, in Prague 1. Visitors can enjoy street food from around the world, wine, prosecco, and craft beer from the Malý Janek brewery in Jince. The event will feature live music and a relaxed atmosphere right in the city center.

The Spring Wine Festival at Písecká brána will take place from May 8 to 11, 2025, in Prague 6. This popular spring event will feature a wide selection of Moravian and international wines, gourmet food, live music performances across various genres, and activities for children. Visitors can enjoy concerts by bands like Chameleon Groove, Tibor Žida with his band, and Pole with Petr Skočdopole. The festival will culminate with a performance by world-renowned jazz musician Laco Deczi. Entry is free, and the event will offer a vibrant atmosphere near Prague Castle.

The Red Hot Chilli Festival 2025 will take place on Sunday, May 4, in front of Cross Club in Holešovice. Visitors can expect a day full of spicy flavors, tastings, competitions, and live music. Dozens of stalls will offer chilli products and unique specialties in a friendly community atmosphere. Entry is free, welcoming both experts and casual food lovers. This year’s edition promises an even richer program than before.

Maker Faire Prague 2025 will take place on May 10–11 at the Křižík Pavilions at Prague Exhibition Grounds. The festival will present over 140 projects in technology, craftsmanship, and innovation. Visitors can look forward to interactive workshops, science shows, the robotic band One Love Machine Band, and the futuristic Ornitonaut Lab performance. Once again, Maker Faire will be a meeting place for creative makers and tech enthusiasts.

World of Books Prague 2025 will take place from May 15 to 18 at the Prague Exhibition Grounds, celebrating its 30th anniversary under the motto “30! Youthful Energy – Wisdom of Books.” The festival will host over 400 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, with Portugal as the guest of honor. Featured authors include Lídia Jorge, Rui Zink, Georgi Gospodinov, and Andrej Kurkov. Visitors can expect author readings, discussions, theater performances, and exhibitions, with a special focus on the new literary generation. It will be the biggest literary event in the Czech Republic.

The United Islands of Prague Festival will be held from May 1 to May 3, 2025, on Štvanice Island and surrounding areas of Prague. Visitors can look forward to performances by dozens of talented Czech and international musicians, a vibrant club night across famous Prague venues, and a Friday concert, Symphony for Humanity, promoting tolerance and opposing xenophobia. The festival will offer not just music but also workshops, lectures on sustainability, and inspiring discussions under the Islands of Inspiration concept. Entry will traditionally be free of charge.

On Saturday, May 17, 2025, the Run for Memory of Nations will take place at the Hvězda game reserve in Prague. Participants can choose from 5 km, 10 km, relay races, or children’s races. Each runner can symbolically dedicate their race to a hero who fought for freedom. Organized by Post Bellum, the event aims to support the recording of witnesses’ memories, educational programs, and assistance to seniors. The start and finish line will be located at Na Vypichu.

On Thursday, May 9, 2025, Europe Day celebrations will take place at the Zažijte Evropu center on Národní Street in Prague. The program will include the popular AZ Quiz about Europe hosted by Aleš Zbořil, a live recording of the Café Evropa podcast discussing 80 years since the end of World War II, and debates with young representatives. Visitors can also enjoy EU member states’ presentations, competitions, and children’s activities. The event will highlight the importance of European cooperation and solidarity.

On May 1, 2025, the traditional Veggie Náplavka will take place at Rašínovo Embankment in Prague 2, one of Europe’s largest open-air vegan fairs. Visitors will sample plant-based specialties from both major and smaller businesses, attend live tastings of new brands, and enjoy a rich program with inspiring guests. The event will be organized in a zero-waste spirit, with food served in returnable containers or compostable dishes. Veggie Náplavka will offer not just a culinary experience but also promote an ethical and sustainable lifestyle.
