1. Festival of Embassies Food and Culture

Travel and taste the world’s finest cuisine during the next edition of the Embassy Festival, which will take place on 10 June at Vítězné náměstí (Prague 6). As every year, this gastronomic festival will offer a wide range of traditional and exotic dishes that have been prepared for this special event. In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to sample the cuisine of more than 50 countries and meet the ambassadors.

2. Ice Cream Festival in Prague

Take part in the Prague Ice Cream Festival, currently the largest festival of its kind in Central Europe. From 24 to 25 June, come and cool off at the Holešovice Exhibition Centre (Prague 7) with ice cream of various types and flavours from several countries, including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Austria. Especially ice cream, yoghurt, ice rolls, sorbets, special – vegan, organic, etc. The program is also suitable for families with children. The organizers have prepared several attractions, competitions, tastings and much more to enjoy the day to the fullest.

3. Apetit Picnic Prague

Enjoy delicious food, cooking shows, workshops and meet interesting guests from the cooking and pastry industry during the summer edition of the Apetit Picnic, which will take place on the second weekend of June 10. Come to the famous Prague park Grébovka (Havlíčkovy sady), bring your family or friends and start the outdoor picnic season with a programme that will satisfy not only your stomach. The event is also suitable for children.

4. Merkádo Prague

From 16 to 17 June you can look forward to an event that will transport you to Latin America! The biggest Latin American festival in the Czech Republic celebrates its 10th anniversary. Merkado will take place on Jiřího z Poděbrad Square in Prague and will show you the culture of Latin America. Various markets await you along with dozens of vendors. In addition, lots of music with catchy rhythms, dance performances, dance workshops, workshops for children and more. The event is suitable for the whole family.

5. Bonsai and Japanese Culture Festival

This June, the festival of bonsai and Japanese culture is returning to Prague’s Botanical Garden from 16 to 25 June. Do not miss the opportunity to see and admire the craft of bonsai growers from the Czech Republic and beyond. The festival is suitable for lovers of Japanese culture as well as for those who would like to know more about this beautiful country. The festival will be accompanied by a rich program that will introduce both the Asian art of tree shaping and Japanese cultural traditions, as well as a sale of bonsai and complementary plants and much more.

6. MINT Market

If you’re looking for something interesting to buy and support talented small Czech brands, come to the famous MINT Market event on 25 June at Rašín Embankment! During its summer edition, you will have the opportunity to choose from many stalls with lovingly made handbags, handmade jewelry, organic cosmetics, candles, original paper goods, macramé, porcelain, toys for children and much more. The organizers did not forget about children and prepared a children’s corner for the little ones.

7. Ginfest

A true celebration of gin and genever will take place on 17 June during the 7th Ginfest. Come to Ville Pellé and try the best drinks with this fine spirit. This versatile spirit can be mixed with a variety of ingredients to create a real interplay of flavours. Visitors will have the opportunity to sample more than 150 gins and cocktails, take part in workshops and seminars, or visit the exhibition of Lubomir Typt, one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Central European painting.

8.  You Can’t Escape the Colours – Prague

During this month, you will have the opportunity to participate in the 9th edition of You Can’t Escape Colours event, which combines the joy of sport, fun and meeting friends into one unique experience full of colour. The event will take place on 10 June in the Central Park of Prague 13. If you haven’t heard of it yet, it is a colourful running show suitable for all age groups. Take a five-kilometre route and get showered with colour in five colour zones and have fun.

9. Karlín Food Truck Festival

If you would like to sample some goodies during a free Sunday afternoon, you can come to Karlínské náměstí on 11 June, where the annual Karlín Food Truck Festival will take place. As always, you can look forward to popular vendors and a few newcomers offering modern street food. The whole event will be accompanied by great (and live) music. The organizers haven’t forgotten about the kids either and have prepared workshops, trampolines and more.

10. Prague Lives with Music

During the last weekend of June (23rd – 24th June), the streets, squares, parks and other places of our capital city will wake up from their long sleep! You can look forward to performances by musicians of various genres, from pop to rock, jazz, rap, beatbox, electronic music to classical music, as well as theatre and slam poetry. This year you can look forward to Laco Déczi, Mucha, Lipo, Vojtaano, Bára Hrzánová & Bachtale Apsa, Jakub König and many more. In case you like their performance, you can throw a few coins in their hat!
