Advent Sunday in the garden of Straka Academy

The Office of the Government of the Czech Republic invites the public to Advent Sundays, held in the beautiful setting of the Straka Academy Garden.

During three Advent Sundays – December 3, 10, and 17, 2023 – the garden will be open from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with the main program starting at 5:00 PM each day.

Each Sunday will feature unique musical performances:

• December 3: Students of the F. L. Gassmann Elementary Art School from Most,
• December 10: Students of the Prague Conservatory,
• December 17: A concert by students of the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory and College.

The program will include Czech and international Christmas songs and carols, creating a truly festive atmosphere. Adding to the holiday spirit is a stunning eight-meter Christmas tree, donated by Lesy ČR, which for the first time will decorate the garden itself.

Entry to the garden is free through the gate at Kosárkovo nábřeží. Come and experience Advent in a unique setting and gather inspiration for the holiday season!
