One of the most special events of the summer, the Night of Cable Cars is back for the eighth time. On 15 July you can experience what it’s like to soar above the city on a scenic cable car ride. The event will take place in six locations this year, so people can choose where they want to experience the night.
June closes with a refreshing Africa Festival on the Botellón Terrace. From 28 June to 1 July, visitors can immerse themselves in the unique culture of Africa.The city’s favorite jungle is preparing with delicious African dishes, ice-cold drinks, fiery live music and a dance show for the festival.
Dürer Garden celebrates its 15th anniversary with fantastic concerts! Old and new guests alike are welcome to attend the free birthday concerts to remember the past years together. From 30 June to 8 July, you can meet some of your favourite bands and even catch two record releases.
This summer, Hello Buda offers special yoga experiences on its sunny rooftop terrace. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, you can take part in an uplifting 60-minute yoga class, followed by a refreshing lemonade. Krisztina Kálmánchey will hold her hatha flow classes on Tuesdays and Fruzsina Sitku will hold her vinyasa flow classes on Thursdays.
On 7 July, Király Street will be filled with exciting cultural events. Concerts, quizzes, arts and crafts and children’s activities will take place all day long on the city’s iconic street. What’s more, the event will also feature a playground, an open-air exhibition and a flea market.
This year, the selection of the winning wine of the year will take place at Winelovers X.. On 7 July, the accompanying event of Winelovers Wine Awards will begin with three masterclasses hosted by national and international experts. While on Saturday, the focus will be on wine tasting, where you can meet the best of the wine world, international and national experts and winemakers.
From 27 June to 1 July, the Kobuci Garden will bring the best of the musical traditions of the Balkans and the Carpathian Basin. The Óbuda World Music Week will feature wonderful performances by over half a hundred artists, concert film curiosities and complementary programs as well. The five-day festival promises to be an unforgettable experience for world music lovers.
One of the National Gallery’s most popular events returns! Every Wednesday evening at the Wine Wednesdays, you can expect special exhibitions, exciting guided tours and lectures, live music and of course wine tastings. This year’s evenings will be themed around a variety of contrasting pairings.
On 30 July, children can take over Budapest Park at the Children’s Garden (Pöttömkert) event! There will be concerts, theatre performances and lots of interactive games for families with young children.The fun-filled event will also be the perfect opportunity for children to run around, play board games, create art, try out musical instruments or even get into a police car.
The Westend Rooftop Garden will be waiting for you with atmospheric music and delicious drinks at the Gin and Jazz Fest from 6 to 8 July! Juniper drink lovers can taste excellent drinks accompanied by fantastic jazz concerts.In addition, the festival also has a number of exciting programs, including an insight into the mysteries of gin and tonic.
