If you’re a fan of any of the drinks mentioned in the name of this popular festival, you have a lot to look forward to. Already this November, a festival full of coffee from domestic and foreign roasters, chocolate made from the finest cocoa beans and tea that will enchant all your senses with its tempting aroma, will come to Bratislava. The festival will take place in the Old Market Hall from the third to the fourth of November. An interesting programme, lectures, discussions and above all plenty of coffee, tea and chocolate to taste. Children up to 12 years of age will be admitted free of charge.
A unique event, a ballet performance of Swan Lake, will take place at DK Ružinov this November. Swan Lake is one of the most famous and best ballet performances in the world and this month you can see it directly in Bratislava performed by the Royal Classic Ballet from Moldova. Great music, a magical story performed by artists such as Sergei Skvortsov, Kateryna Floria or Alexander Pokolitov. I am sure you will agree that we have a lot to look forward to.
For those who like to enjoy good wine, there is the Open Cellar Day, which will take place on 18 and 19 November. As is customary, the winemakers of the Small Carpathian region will open their cellars and you will be able to taste some of the best grape and currant wines produced in Slovakia. On your wine pilgrimage you will discover the corners of Devín, Svätý Jur, Grinava and other picturesque places of the Malocarpathian Wine Route. In addition to the wines, you will also be able to enjoy the beautiful autumn landscape and enjoy regional gastronomy.
André Rieu, one of the most popular musicians of our time is coming to Bratislava with a brand new show! With an orchestra of more than 60 members, this king of waltzes will offer you the best of his repertoire. You can look forward to a varied concert full of surprises, from romantic songs and emotional ballads to the most beautiful and famous waltzes. Don’t miss this performance, which will take place on 19 November at the Ondrej Nepela Winter Stadium.
It is a tradition that the first Saturday of the month belongs to Burzoblšák, and this month will be no different. On Saturday, November 5, you’ll be able to stop by this community event to support an eco-friendly swap of clothing as well as handmade products, records or antiques. After all, who wouldn’t already want to find and take home something beautiful and, most importantly, acquired eco – friendly. Of course, there will also be refreshment stalls, in case you get hungry after the endless search for the best pieces. November’s Burzoblšák is waiting for you on Drieňova Street in Bratislava.
Fans of classical music will also find something to enjoy in November. In the first half of the month, the Mozart Festival will take place in Bratislava. The Bratislava Mozart Festival is one of the international classical music festivals that brings not only the best Mozart compositions but also other classical music gems to the heart of Bratislava every year. You can look forward to selected works by Mozart, Beethoven, Druzecki and some of the compositions from the operas Don Giovanni and The Marriage of Figaro. Well-known artists such as Warsaw Harmony, Musica Florea, Javier Zafra, Helena Schuback and many others will play at the festival.
If you like to travel, explore new parts of the world or the culture of other nations, this travel lecture is guaranteed to be a good tip for you. The well-known environmentalist Paul Tieniu Yung, who has lived in Slovakia since 1997, will present the best of his travels in China, from big cities such as Beijing or Shanghai, which is also called the pearl of the East, to the most hidden corners of this great country, full of silence and breathtakingly beautiful nature. You will be able to see all this at a lecture in the Old Town Library supported by the public funds of the Fund for the Promotion of the Arts. Admission to the lecture is free.
On 24 November in KC Dunaj you will experience an evening full of humour, improvisational talent and themes worthy of a talk, at an event called Pančlajn. Seven comedians, whom you all know well, will be competing for your favour: Tomáš Hudák, Jakub Gulík, Jakub Lužina, Ján Gordulič, Jakub Zitron Ťapák, Marián Psár and Samo Trnka. Come and watch their show and decide which of them deserves the King of Stand-up award. All you have to do is to express your sympathy by applauding according to how you like their individual shows.
