Ružinov Folklore Festival

The Ružinov Folklore Festival returns with a rich program of traditional Slovak folk songs and dances. This event, steeped in culture and tradition, will take place on November 11, 2026, at the Ružinov House of Culture (Dom kultúry Ružinov), located at Ružinovská 28.

Get ready for an extraordinary day filled with color, music, and tradition. On Saturday, November 11, the Ružinov House of Culture will transform into a venue where Slovak folk songs, dances, and customs come to life. What could be better than experiencing this rich cultural heritage in a welcoming atmosphere where families, friends, and folklore enthusiasts can gather?

This year’s edition features a diverse program showcasing renowned folklore ensembles for both children and adults—such as FS Gymnik, FS Karpaty, and DFS KLNKA—as well as the award-winning J. Opatovský Accordion Academy. The festival will also include a range of accompanying activities: creative workshops for children, sales of traditional Slovak products, craft workshops, exhibitions, and live music in the foyer.

The highlight of the event, however, will be the energetic performances by the folklore ensembles, showcasing the beauty of Slovak heritage—ranging from authentic children’s dances to the spirited choreography of adult groups.
