French Day returns to the heart of Bratislava to the Main Square again after a year. For the twelfth time we will celebrate with the residents and visitors of the capital the French national holiday, on the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille.
Visitors will be able to stroll around the French market in the Main Square, twenty stalls will offer refreshments in the form of delicious desserts, cheeses and drinks from 14:00.
In addition to French colours and flavours, French language, sports and cosmetics lovers will also find something to their liking.
Just a step away from the Main Square, the French Institute will be hosting creative animations for children and young people as well as a French book fair.
The free cultural programme will be hosted in French and Slovak by actress Lucia Hurajová.
A dance performance by the Breakfans group will make the square dance and singers from this year’s edition of the Sing in French competition will also sing for you (4.30 – 5.15 p.m.) The celebrations of “French Day” will be rounded off with a concert by the singer Saria (8.00 – 9.00 p.m.), who will sing original pop songs.
