The Slovak National Theatre Opera will premiere the children’s opera Muflón Ancijáš, based on the popular books of the same name by Braň Jobus.
The adventures of the good-hearted mouflon will come to life on the SND stage with music by Slava Solovic and directed by Michal Spišák. Braňo Jobus, the author of both the stories and the libretto for the children’s opera, will present himself to the children in the role of the narrator.
Ancijáš is a mouflon. And not just any mouflon, but a good-hearted trucker mouflon. Above all, he loves his sweatpants and likes to make others happy. He rescues Militia the Earthworm and they start travelling together. Although he ends up in the hospital after his fight with Bear, the feeling of having helped others cures him. While delivering parcels, he pulls a caterpillar out of the water and saves Mrs. Pump’s coffee machine from the Bats. Eventually, he inadvertently finds himself in space. However, the voice of love returns him to Earth – directly to the Slovak National Theatre Opera, where together with the charming mouflonica and the music teacher Lenka, they save the show.
