Justiz Café Vienna

This gem of a working pub is primarily for those taking a break from court, but it is also open to the general public. From the palace’s outdoor terrace in German Renaissance style, well-informed travellers have an unobstructed view of Vienna’s historic Ringstrasse, the Austrian parliament, the Hofburg and St. Stephen’s Cathedral.

Meals are surprisingly affordable (8 to 12 euros), but there is no shortage of food. Chef Ivo Brnjic, who has cooked for celebrities such as Prince Charles, runs the kitchen. Guests can choose between three changing menus with simple, fresh ingredients.

Cocktail above the rooftops of the city! Ministry employees meet for lunch on the roof of the venerable Palace of Justice, but it’s not just judges and prosecutors who are welcome here. Croatian-born gastronome Ivo Brnjic serves classic specialities such as Wiener Schnitzel or Grammelknödel.

The boss of the house is as legendary as the location he took over twelve years ago. Ivo BRNJIC. The scene restaurateur who made it into the first league of Viennese society with his hotspot at the Naschmarkt “Theatercafé”. Prominent personalities like star tenor Placido Domingo or shooting stars like Christina Stürmer were among his regular guests. Now he pours pure wine for judges, public prosecutors and lawyers at the Justizcafé. In addition, the passionate chef creates the finest delicacies, with which he has already cooked for Prince Charles and other crowned heads. The Justizcafé, a place with a lot of history, is open to everyone. In the evenings, the restaurant transforms into a dream event location that offers the ideal setting for cool parties, romantic weddings, dynamic company presentations or round birthdays.
