Travel and taste the world’s best cuisine at the Embassy Festival on 8 June at Vítězný náměstí in Prague 6. As every year, this gastronomic festival will offer a wide range of traditional and exotic dishes that have been prepared for this special event. In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to taste dishes from more than 50 countries and meet the ambassadors themselves and their families who will be actively involved in the cooking.
Do you like ice cream? If so, take part in the Prague Ice Cream Festival, which is currently the largest festival of its kind in Central Europe. From 22 to 23 June, come and cool off at the Holešovice Exhibition Centre and taste ice cream of various types and flavours from several countries, including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Austria. Especially ice creams, yoghurts, ice rolls, sorbets, special – vegan, organic, etc. The program is suitable for families with children and the organizers have prepared several attractions, competitions, tastings and much more.
Enjoy delicious food, cooking shows, workshops and meet interesting guests from the cooking and pastry industry during the summer edition of the Apetit Picnic, which will be held on the second weekend of June 15. Come to the famous Prague park Grébovka, Havlíčkovy sady. Take your family or friends and start the outdoor picnic season with a pleasant programme that will satisfy not only your stomach. The event is also suitable for children, for whom the organisers have prepared great activities.
If you are vegan or just want to try this tasty and healthy way of eating, come to Pankrác on 22 June to the Prague café Na půl cesty. The Vegan Feast will host a great and rich program that will offer various lectures by experts on how to try a plant-based diet. The accompanying programme will offer a morning picnic, a book exchange or a vegan meet-up in English. Whatever you choose, you are sure to spend a day full of fun and maybe even the start of new friendships.
On the first weekend of June 1-2, the annual Legends car show will take place at the Prague Exhibition Centre in Holešovice. Visitors can look forward to a packed programme full of entertainment and more than 1000 interesting exhibits. There will be, for example, racing teams and pilots, novelties and premieres of automakers and motorcycle and motorhome dealers, presentations of caravans, motorhomes and travel equipment and much more. In addition, a wide range of catering and refreshments will be provided.
If you are looking for something interesting to buy and want to support talented small Czech brands, come to the famous MINT Market event on 16 June at Rašínovo nábřeží! During its summer edition you will have the opportunity to choose from many stalls with lovingly made handbags, handmade jewellery, bio-cosmetics, candles, original paper goods, macramé, porcelain, toys for children and much more. The organizers did not forget about children and prepared a children’s corner for the little ones.
Don’t miss the opportunity to come to the largest wine festival Prague Drinks Wine in the capital focused on authentic wines from Central Europe. This year’s edition will be exceptional as it is the 10th anniversary year of this popular event. During the first weekend of this month, i.e. 1 June, come to the New Town Hall to enjoy this magnificent liquid. The celebration continues the beautiful tradition of the Austro-Hungarian wine exhibitions, which are attended by winemakers from all regions of the old monarchy.
In June, you will have the opportunity to take part in the 10th anniversary edition of Colours Can’t Escape, which combines the joy of sport, fun and meeting friends into one unique experience full of colour. The event will take place on 8 June in the Central Park of Prague 13. If you haven’t heard of it yet, it is a colourful running show suitable for all age groups. Head out on the five-kilometre route, which will shower you with colour in five colour zones, and have lots of fun.
If you are a foodie or just want to taste something new, don’t forget to come to Smíchov Embankment this Saturday, 22 June. You will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of street food specialties from all over the world, such as seafood, hummus, falafel, sushi, vegan and vegetarian dishes! For those who like to munch, the organizers have prepared ice cream, crispy waffles, light macaroons a large selection of exotic fruits or freshly squeezed juices.
On the weekend of 07 – 08.06.2024 the streets, squares, parks and other places of our capital city will wake up from their long sleep! You can look forward to performances by musicians of various genres, from pop to rock, jazz, rap, beatbox, electronic music to classical music, as well as theatre and slam poetry. This year you can look forward to Ben Cristovao, Igor Orozovich, Michal Horák, Jiří Schmitzer and Marsell Bendigo with Lucie Bikarova. In case you like their performance, you can throw a few coins in their hat!
