Festival Na hlavu 2026 will take place from March 6 to 8, 2026, and for the tenth time will open up important topics related to mental health, the mind, and quality of life in Prague. The program will be held at the Municipal Library in Prague, the Venuše ve Švehlovce Theatre, and the Galaxie Cultural Station.
Each year, the festival offers an open and accessible perspective on issues that affect all of us. This year’s edition will focus on emotions, relationships, and family, as well as identity, communication, and the prevention of mental health difficulties. Its aim is to create space for dialogue between experts and the public and to present up-to-date insights from psychology, psychiatry, and neuroscience.
The festival is organized by the National Institute of Mental Health, a leading Czech scientific and clinical center dedicated to research on mental health and brain disorders. The organizers are committed to reducing stigma surrounding mental illness and improving the quality of life of those affected. The team behind the Public Mental Health research program connects scientific findings with public debate and brings forward topics that have a real impact on everyday life.
Festival Na hlavu covers a wide range of areas – from psychological and psychiatric care to sleep, sexuality, substance use, and the influence of art and virtual reality on the mind. This interdisciplinary approach and openness make the festival a unique platform that connects science, culture, and personal experience.
In 2019, the festival received the National Psychiatric Award of Professor Vladimír Vondráček, highlighting its importance in the field of mental health awareness and public education.
