Until 12 March 2026, Centrum Černý Most transforms into a gateway to the silent and fascinating world of the ocean depths. Under the patronage of Discovery Channel, the exhibition Giants of the Oceans invites visitors to explore the realm where land ends and the domain of the planet’s largest and most mysterious creatures begins.
The exhibition features life-size models that bring the ocean to life—encounter the blue whale, sperm whale, orca, and sharks of all shapes and sizes. Thanks to the highly realistic design, visitors are immersed directly into the ocean environment and can experience what it feels like to stand face to face with giants that have inspired legends and human imagination for centuries.
However, the exhibition is much more than a visual spectacle. An interactive zone engages both children and adults: you can track prey like a hammerhead shark, listen to the songs of orcas, or dive into virtual reality that reveals everyday life in the deep sea. One of the most powerful moments is the installation Magic of the Underwater Depths—a light and fluorescent display created from plastics collected on the beaches of Greece and Cyprus. It highlights both the beauty and fragility of the ocean and emphasizes the urgent need to protect nature.
After successful runs in more than 15 European countries, Giants of the Oceans returns to Prague as a family-friendly experience that educates, entertains, and fascinates across generations. If you are looking for a program that combines knowledge, emotion, and modern technology, this exhibition should not be missed.
