Medieval festivities at Hradčany

On Saturday, May 24, 2025, the Hradčany district in Prague 6 will transform into the setting of a grand medieval festival, transporting visitors back to the time of kings, knights, and courtly dancers.

The all-day program will feature knightly tournaments, historic music, theatrical performances, and a wide range of attractions for both children and adults.

Visitors can look forward to a royal knight tournament, where brave warriors will compete for honor and glory. The atmosphere will be enriched by live period music and a performance by the Knights of Malta, showcasing not only their skills but also the legacy of chivalric tradition. The program will also include a fencing and dance show, puppet theatre “Kubko”, and dancers performing to the rhythm of medieval melodies.

Children will enjoy competitions, historical games, knightly training as part of the “Little Recruits” program, and the chance to ride a knight’s horse. Both young and old can try their hand at the archery range, axe throwing, or explore historical weapons and armor, with opportunities to try them on. The event will also include a medieval knight camp and a traditional marketplace offering authentic crafts and handmade goods to evoke the true atmosphere of the Middle Ages.
