Boat cruises to the Prague Zoo

From April 19 to September 30, 2025, the Prague Steamboat Company offers a unique opportunity to combine travel and experience in one – regular boat cruises to Prague Zoo.

The boat line departs from Rašínovo Embankment in Prague 2 and heads to the dock at Císařský Island, from where it’s just a short walk to the zoo in Prague’s Troja district.

This mode of transport is a perfect alternative to public transit or driving. Children will enjoy the water adventure, and adults can relax on a pleasant cruise along the Vltava River with beautiful views of Prague. The journey takes approximately 55 minutes and is often such a delightful experience that it becomes an unforgettable part of a day spent at the zoo.

Boats run on weekends in April and September (with special cruises on April 18 and 21), and daily from May to August. Standard departure times from Rašínovo Embankment are 9:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 3:30 PM, with return trips from the zoo at 10:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 5:15 PM.

From April 18 to 30, please note a temporary change – due to the closure of the Troja Canal, the cruise will end at the Loděnice Troja station, which is still within easy walking distance of the zoo.
