LUSTR Festival Prague

From September 24 to 30, the 13th annual LUSTR Festival will take place at the Holešovice Market in Prague, showcasing contemporary illustration and comics from the Czech Republic and abroad.
It will feature several themed exhibitions, presentations, and a supporting program for adults and children, all in one place.

This year’s main exhibition, titled “Landscape 2.0,” focuses on changes in the landscape and humanity’s impact on the environment. Visitors will see illustrations, comics, and other visual works dedicated to topics such as post-industrial cities, nature shaped by humans, and visions of the landscape of the future.

The festival will also feature a Showcase presenting the work of artists selected through an international open call. This year’s International Lounge will focus on the Portuguese illustration scene. In addition, there will be other exhibitions, workshops, lectures, presentations, and a program for the youngest visitors.

LUSTR is thus not just a traditional exhibition, but also an opportunity to meet the illustrators and comic book creators themselves, view their work, and learn more about contemporary visual art. Lectures and discussions are free, while admission to the main festival program requires a fee.
