LUSTR Festival

Lustr – Illustration Festival 2025 will take place from September 19 to 28, 2025, at the Holešovice Market Hall in Prague 7.

The LUSTR Festival is the largest domestic showcase of contemporary authorial illustration and comics. Each year, it presents the most interesting work from the Czech and Slovak scenes while also giving space to international artists. This has made it not only a prestigious event but also a meeting place for illustrators, artists, and the general public who want to explore the diverse forms of contemporary visual creation.

This year’s edition will feature installations by more than fifty selected artists. Visitors will experience more than just pictures on the wall—they will see illustration in all its breadth, from classic drawings to experimental forms and interactive installations. The festival thus becomes a platform where art meets modern approaches and where audiences can actively engage.

The program also includes workshops, lectures, and competitions, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the artists’ work and insight into their creative process and inspirations. LUSTR provides a unique opportunity to meet the creators in person, hear their stories, and see the faces of those who usually work quietly in their studios.
