Žižkov mezidvorky in Prague

On Saturday, May 23, 2026, Žižkov will once again open up to visitors in a different way — through courtyards, inner blocks, and gardens that usually remain hidden behind the facades of apartment buildings.

Žižkovské mezidvorky will bring the 15th edition of the popular neighborhood festival that connects culture, community, and the unique atmosphere of this Prague district.

The festival will take place across more than twenty locations and offer a diverse multi-genre program for all age groups. Visitors can look forward to music, theatre, dance, singing, exhibitions, workshops, swaps, flea markets, small local fairs, and activities for children. Each courtyard will offer a slightly different experience, together creating a lively map of Žižkov’s creativity.

The neighborhood atmosphere itself also plays a major role. Local residents, community groups, and independent projects all take part in organizing the festival, helping visitors experience Žižkov as a culturally rich and constantly evolving part of the city. The festival also gives space to social and environmental initiatives that can present their activities to the public.

This year’s edition will also introduce a practical new feature in the form of reusable deposit cups with an original Žižkovské mezidvorky design. The cups will help reduce waste, while visitors can also keep them as a souvenir.
