On September 14–15, 2024, the Tancesraz 2024 dance festival will take place at ARCHA+, bringing together two worlds—urban dance and contemporary. This unique festival offers both competitive dance battles and theatrical performances, making it a fantastic opportunity for all dance enthusiasts.
Program:
On September 14, 2024, the international dance battle Trhejparket will be the main event of the festival’s first day. Top dancers will compete, with a world-class jury evaluating their skills in various dance styles. After the battle, an official afterparty will follow, with DJs Artist3 (aka Otec Mirec), Mira.em, Danny Son, and Maikl Knight providing the music.
On September 15, 2024, the festival’s final day will feature a unique theatrical performance that will immerse the audience in the world of dance. The stage will showcase three renowned international choreographers from the urbanstyles scene and two Czech contemporary dance companies. This performance will bridge the two dance worlds, creating an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
ARCHA+
– A Place for Creativity and Dialogue
The festival will be held at ARCHA+, a new space operating in the former Archa Theatre since 2024. ARCHA+ aims to be a social laboratory and a safe space for dialogue and creation, focusing on a young audience aged 15–29. The venue not only hosts festivals, theater performances, and concerts but also provides a platform for original productions and projects based on themes like identity, the relationship with technology, and environmental issues.
Under the leadership of Jindřich Krippner and program curator Štěpán Kubišta, ARCHA+ focuses on collaborating with young creators, who can participate in open call challenges. The music and sound direction is curated by Václav Klíma, David Čajčík, and Zuzana Malá from Heartnoize Promotion, ensuring a high-quality musical experience. ARCHA+ thus becomes not only a place for art but also for mutual inspiration and dialogue.
