The eleventh edition of the Czech Design Week festival will take place from September 5th to 8th, 2024, in the center of Prague, across two main venues: the Mánes Gallery and Clam-Gallas Palace.
This celebration of contemporary art and young design will expand at the beginning of September to selected galleries and design stores in the heart of Prague.
The festival will offer a unique overview of the latest trends not only in the field of design but also a daily accompanying program focused on current topics resonating within the design and cultural community. Visitors can look forward to exciting new developments from a wide range of designers, artists, brands, and studios, showcasing everything from minimalist and timeless design to rich and colorful expressions, as well as works and collections reflecting global trends and important social issues.
At the Mánes Exhibition Hall, more than 100 designers, brands, studios, and ateliers will present their creations, ranging from glass, porcelain, and jewelry to fashion, product, and interior design. Technological innovations and gadgets from leading brands will also be on display. This year, the festival will focus on the current scene and introduce carefully selected young creators, students, and talented discoveries from the design world, who are just beginning to make their mark.
The “young blood” of Czech design and art will also be showcased during the Czech Design Week at the grand Clam-Gallas Palace. The New Generation exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Museum of the City of Prague, will feature a unique selection of design and artistic works by the youngest generation of authors, who already have a strong personal style and who will shape the future of Czech design in the coming years. These artists and designers will undoubtedly be worth watching in the future.
The festival will also include the announcement of the 11th annual Czech Design Award, which will take place during the official closing ceremony on Sunday, September 8th, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Mánes Exhibition Hall.
