New Town Advent

The 10th annual New Town Advent promises visitors a rich program filled with memorable experiences, from Christmas markets to cultural performances and creative activities. The historic halls of the town hall will host families and friends, offering a serene and welcoming setting for a festive Sunday.

This year’s Advent program includes a wide variety of activities for all ages. Guests can participate in creative workshops to craft their own Christmas decorations and enjoy music and theater performances. Highlights include a concert by the children’s choir Rolnička, theatrical shows by Šneček and Lokvar, and an evening drum show by Mr. Šušor, where the audience can join in. Children can also look forward to screenings of animated fairy tales and short films.

On the town hall courtyard, a vibrant Christmas market will feature seasonal goods, regional crafts, and delicious treats. Visitors can savor exceptional drinks and specialties on-site or purchase them as gifts for loved ones. Event partner Design Mode will showcase unique products by Czech designers and artists, providing a great opportunity to find one-of-a-kind, personal gifts.

A special part of the event is the chance to climb the viewing tower of the New Town Hall for breathtaking views of Christmas-lit Prague. The tower will be open until December 15, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, weather permitting, after which it will close for safety reasons until spring.
