A relaxed atmosphere and unique charm. This is exactly what makes the markets a favorite spot for both Prague residents and tourists. Farmers’ markets are held at several locations throughout Prague; most of them start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m., so it’s worth getting up a little earlier.
The farmers’ market on Jiřího z Poděbrad Square offers a wide selection of stalls selling fruits and vegetables, as well as herbs, baked goods, and meat products; you’ll also find stalls selling natural cosmetics, pottery, honey, and spices.
There’s no shortage of coffee, fresh fruit juices, and a variety of tasty dishes, either.
If you want to experience the local atmosphere and buy fresh fruit or vegetables, head to one of the many farmers’ markets held in Prague on Saturdays.
