Great bazaar of good books

Something great for all book lovers is coming this weekend to Prague! Don’t miss the wonderful March event at the Václav Havel Library! Hospice Dobrého Pastýře organizes a large charity book bazaar, which was preceded by a nationwide collection of books, so you can look forward to a fantastic selection of new books and valuable classics. Here you will find Czech and world fiction, bestsellers, Nordic drama, children’s literature, science fiction, poetry, textbooks, biographies, travelogues, detective stories, cookbooks and esoterics. Everyone will really get their money’s worth. You can buy individual titles for 50/100/150 Czech crowns, some even for a voluntary contribution, and you will be issued a gift certificate for the purchase.

Guests: Publicist and film documentary filmmaker TOMÁŠ ŠKRDLANT, author of the documentary film “I am like a tiger”, ADRIANA ŠANDREJOVÁ and MICHELA ŘÍHOVÁ, nurse of the Hospice Dobrého Pastýře, who accompanied her father with the help of the home hospice. The discussion with words and music is accompanied by violinist and actor MARTIN ZBROŽEK.
17:30 – SCREENING OF THE DOCUMENT “I AM LIKE A TIGER”
The last hundred meters of the life marathon of the Slovak architect and portraitist Josky Venson. Encounter with illness and death. “The last hundred meters of the marathon is the hardest. I won’t crawl. I’ll sprint to the finish line.” That’s the motto he followed. And he wasn’t afraid to reveal the innermost moments of the end of life in front of the camera.
