Those interested will be able to try the crispy, creamy desserts of Kürtősbon, that revolutionized chimney cake, this time between October 14 and 16 in the framework of a mini festival. In the new part of the Capital Zoo and Botanical Garden, you can taste the special chimney cakes, that you will be able to put together according to your own taste. Children’s programs, crafts and concerts will also accompany the event.
How will the chimney cake become KÜRTŐSBON?
The dough of the newly shaped chimney cake, the KÜRTŐSBON, is filled with various creams, such as chocolate, plum or peach, for which you can request any additional flavoring, thus creating the KÜRTŐSBON names suitable for fillings and flavorings, such as Raspberry ChocolateBON, Walnut PeachBON or just Cinnamon PlumBON.
We want as many of you as possible to taste this dessert, so we are organizing a mini-festival in the new part of the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden, where everyone can request their own KÜRTŐSBON the way they want to mix the flavors and pile up the pleasures!
In addition to the KÜRTŐSBON, – which will be prepared by the Vitéz Kürtős team in several places – of course, traditional and special flavored chimney cakes, as well as the favorites of the Édes Mackó chimney cake pastry shop, will also be available at the festival, and the organizers are also thinking of people with food intolerances. They make gluten-, dairy- and egg-free chimney cakes, as well as the popular Make it yourself! At the stand, everyone can learn the secrets of making chimney cakes.
The tasty event is also enriched by programs for families with small children: there will be animal attractions with Zoltán Hanga (wildlife rescue, animal shows, Shark School), stilt walkers, free face painting and glitter tattooing, crafts, puppet theatre, quiz game with prizes and storytellers for the little ones. Furthermore, Gabi Szűcs, Linda Király and Tamás Vastag will also perform at the event.
The KÜRTŐSBON Festival is also enriched by the varied programs of the Capital City Circus in the Stable at the entrance of the Édes Mackó chimney cake pastry shop: there will be interactive educational games: artefact puzzle and circus history quiz (with TV projection), circus poster making, collage, as well as an interactive presentation with dogs in the spirit of responsible animal husbandry. They are also prepared with circus animation: visitors can get to know and master the circus movements and basic techniques with the tools of circus art (juggling, balance, plate spinning, etc.), and those interested can also gain an insight into the world of a tightrope walker using VR glasses.
The festival can be visited with a Zoo ticket!
