The building opened in 1913 and today it is one of the largest thermal bath complexes in Europe. The bath is supplied by two thermal springs rising from depths of more than 1,000 meters, providing mineral-rich medicinal water with well-known therapeutic properties.

Nearby attractions include City Park, the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden, Heroes’ Square, and the House of Music Hungary, making the surrounding area one of Budapest’s most popular tourist districts.
