In September 2026, Dürer Kert in Budapest will once again host the KRAFT Beer Festival, featuring local and regional breweries, the finest domestic beer shops, and distributors showcasing their very best selections.
KRAFT has always been close to the hearts of both brewers and beer enthusiasts. This festival is a celebration of Hungarian craft breweries, complemented by regional names from neighboring countries. It is not an unlimited all-you-can-drink event, but a token-based, pay-per-drink festival, designed for everyone from seasoned beer geeks to newcomers taking their very first sip of craft beer.
The Budapest Beer Week team recreates the liberating atmosphere of international beer festivals: brewers personally tap their beers, so visitors can enjoy a friendly chat between barrel-aged imperial stouts and fruity Berliner Weisses. Classic lagers and ales will also be on offer for those who prefer traditional flavors, ensuring everyone finds something to enjoy.
Entry to the festival is free, but tasting beers requires purchasing a KRAFT-branded festival glass and tokens. Glassware and tokens from previous years remain valid. For 2026, only those purchasing discounted token packages in advance are guaranteed the official limited-edition tasting glass. Supplies are expected to run low in the second half of the festival, so planning ahead is recommended.
In addition to beer, the festival offers live concerts every evening, DJ sets during the day and after the shows, and a wide selection of food trucks to complete the experience. Altogether, around 30 local and regional breweries and several distributors will be present, offering visitors the chance to taste more than 300 unique beers, many of which will debut exclusively at this event.
