From 20 to 26 November, the Bethlen Square Theatre will host the tenth edition of the week-long dance festival dedicated to the name of the district’s namesake, Queen Elizabeth – popularly known as Sissi.
This year’s programme will again focus on dance workshops from the countryside, with GG Tánc Eger, Miskolc Ballet, Székesfehérvár Ballet Theatre and Győr Artistic Secondary School among the invited companies. The dance festival will start with a performance by the host Central European Dance Theatre and will end with another performance on Friday 26. The festival will give special attention to young talent, both as choreographers and performers.
The theatre programme of SŐT7 will be complemented by a screening of the 65th-anniversary programme of the János Bihari Dance Ensemble, the festival’s guest of honour in the district, and a dance-themed photo exhibition, Masterclass of János Eifert: Master and his students. The accompanying events are free of charge.
Place: Bethlen Theater, Bethlen Gábor tér 3.
Date: November 20-26
Entry: 2500Ft
