Downtown Wine and Champagne Festival

From June 4 to 9, 2025, the heart of Budapest will once again come alive with the buzz of one of the city’s most popular events: the Belvárosi Wine & Sparkling Wine Festival returns to Szabadság Square.

Over six festive days, Hungary’s finest wineries and sparkling wine cellars will gather in this iconic downtown location to offer visitors the perfect way to kick off summer—with a glass of wine or bubbly in hand, high-quality street food, and a vibrant lineup of musical performances.

The festival is not only a gastronomic delight but also a true community celebration, made unforgettable by the lush surroundings and the magical summer evening atmosphere. Guests will be able to explore a wide range of wines from across Hungary’s top wine regions, while evenings will feature live music and DJ sets to enhance the mood.

Entry to the festival is free of charge; however, to enjoy the wine and sparkling drinks, visitors must purchase a branded glass festival cup. Two options are available: the Premium Festival Glass for 4,250 HUF and the Exclusive Festival Glass for 5,999 HUF. Please note that only bank cards or HelloPay cards are accepted for payment at the venue.
