Solstice on the Danube

Discover the Danube from a whole new perspective! Solstice on the Danube is a unique summer festival that brings the riverbanks, cities, and towns from Devín to Štúrovo to life over the course of several months. You can look forward to concerts, festivals, sporting events, boat cruises, culinary delights, family-friendly programs, and the chance to explore the beauty of one of Europe’s most important rivers.

Every weekend brings new experiences in a different location, making the Solstice on the Danube the perfect opportunity to explore the region both from the water and from land.

Among the biggest attractions are concerts, festivals, boat cruises, sporting events, family activities, guided tours, and programs focused on exploring the Danube’s natural and cultural heritage. The festival also promotes cross-border cooperation between Slovakia and Hungary.

August 2026 Program:

Two days full of flavors, music, and shared experiences! A traditional festival dedicated to homemade strudels and regional cuisine. A strudel fair, concerts, children’s programs, a running race, a halászlé cooking contest, and much more await you in Iža!
