Concert Tribute to Freedom

We invite you to the 16th Tribute to Freedom concert under Devín.

The imposing castle is an important part of our history and also the place under which the Iron Curtain ran. Devín reminds us of the victims of fascism, but also of the enormous role of the Slovak nation in the fight against it. It has become a symbol of freedom not only for Bratislava, but for the whole of Slovakia.

Since 2009, the concert has been an integral part of cultural and social events in Bratislava, with an outreach to the whole of Slovakia.

Why is it worth going?

1. Symbolism of the place and history

The concert takes place at Devín Castle, which is a strong symbol of Slovak and European history – once part of the Iron Curtain, a place of resistance and enthusiasm for the fall of totalitarianism.

2. Artistic program with a message

This is a traditional cultural event since 2009, which commemorates the anniversaries – the SNP, the Gentle Revolution and the fall of the Iron Curtain.

3. Exceptional performers

In 2025, the legends of Slovak and Czech music Tublatanka, Robo Grigorov, Beáta Dubasová, Metallinda will perform. All of them represent the so-called “New Wave” of popular music from the 1980s. A unique combination of artists on one stage for a unique experience.

4. Atmosphere

An open-air concert, with a view of the Danube and the Bratislava skyline, at sunset and the evening illumination of Devín.

5. Social and Cultural Significance

The Tribute to Freedom is not just a musical event, but a cultural celebration of national consciousness.
