Summer in New Town is about to start! We invite you to a day full of music, fun, sports, creative activities, good food and pleasant outdoor gatherings. Come with your family, friends or neighbours to celebrate the opening of the New Town Cultural and Sports Summer 2026 and enjoy a varied programme for all ages.
On Sunday 28 June, the Park at Račianske mýto will be transformed into a place full of energy, laughter and summer fun. You can expect concerts by popular artists, performances for children, sports activities, creative workshops, community meetings, and relaxation in a pleasant environment among the trees await you.

2:00 p.m. – Hugo Sníček
We are starting an afternoon full of dreams and songs! Hugo Sníček from Jojko TV will make all the little ones dance and prepare them for a real ride.
3:00 p.m. – Magician Slížo
Get ready for a dose of laughter and amazement. Magician Slížo will perform tricks that will make both children and adults believe their eyes.
3:45 p.m. – Laughter Yoga
A short warm-up before the official start. Come recharge your batteries with endorphins and find out that laughter is the best therapy.
4:00 p.m. – Opening of the event
Official opening of the Cultural and Sports Summer 2026 with the participation of the city district leadership and guests.
4:10 p.m. – Vietnamese Community Happening
Discover the culture of our neighbors! A colorful and dynamic performance by the Vietnamese community will bring a piece of exoticism and joy to Nové Mesto.
4:30 p.m.– SwinGang
An elegant ride to the rhythm of swing and jazz. Let yourself be carried away by the energy of the orchestra, which will not let you just sit still.
6:00 p.m.– B-Swing dance school by the fountain
It’s time to shake your hips! Professional dancers will teach you the basic steps to be the stars of the dance floor throughout the evening.
7:00 p.m.– Juraj Hnilica
A charismatic Martin musician will bring sincere lyrics and melodic pop-rock to the stage, which will caress the soul and make the entire audience sing.
8:30 p.m.– Pokáč
The climax of the evening! Popular Czech singer-songwriter and master of witty lyrics Pokáč will close our day with his hits “for a good mood”.

Make a floral bookmark or card with a dedication. An experienced lecturer from Gray Ateliér will guide you through creation.

Watch the creation of paintings on the spot, take a look at different artistic approaches and, if interested, try simple painting techniques yourself.

Relaxation zone of book treasures, creativity and inspiring meetings directed by the Bratislava-Nové Mesto Library:

Get to know the work of translators, thanks to which we read works in Slovak from Connelly, Tolkien and Asimov to Yarros, Sanderson or the Expansion series. Come and hear how tension, humor and entire book universes are transferred to our language.
