Bratislava period picnic

History and fashion lovers will once again spread out their colorful blankets and picnic baskets on the green meadows of Janka Kráľ Park near the Gothic Tower.

This event of the year will once again focus on the period from 1900 to 1950.

Take your grandmother’s blanket, air out your picnic baskets, find your skittles or badminton rackets, leave your cell phones at home, and spend a pleasant day just like our grandparents did in their youth. If you pull out a piece of clothing from that period from your closet, you will feel even more like you are in a bygone era and you will add to the magical atmosphere of this picnic.

The program will feature music from this era, as well as craft demonstrations, a First Republic fashion show, a dance workshop, a children’s playroom, and stalls with delicacies and handmade products. The evening will be rounded off by the well-known FATS JAZZ BAND, which specializes in hot jazz and swing music from the 1920s to the 1940s.

15:30 – 18:00 Play chess and improve with the chess academy
16:00 – 18:00 Painting plein air with academic painter Dušan Sekel

Throughout the day, hand-made vendors, a photo booth, good food and quality wine.

With family, friends and loved ones, you will be able to enjoy the day and feel the love for history.
