In the picturesque heart of Slovakia lies an exceptional pearl called Malkia Park, which is not only a sanctuary for many exotic animals, but also a centre for education and conservation.
Since its establishment in 2016, this park has become home to over 260 animals, including bears, ungulates, monkeys and over 50 felines, providing them with a loving environment that mimics their natural habitats.
Inspired by the story of the first rescued lioness, Malkia, which means “queen” in the Swahili language, Malkia Park has become a symbol of royalty for many animals that can no longer live in the wild. With loving care and specialised enclosures, including a unique 7,000 m² safari enclosure, the park provides animals with space to move, play and relax in a natural environment.
By gaining zoo status in May 2022, Malkia Park has opened the door to new opportunities for collaboration and education, focusing on endangered species conservation and public education. With a newly created educational classroom, expert lectures and interactive games, Malkia Park offers unforgettable learning experiences for schools and the general public.
Supporting the park and its inhabitants is possible by adopting animals, making financial contributions, making purchases in the e-shop or simply by visiting and sharing their story. The park also offers a unique experience in the form of accommodation, right on the premises is the Malkia guesthouse, where guests can experience the vocal expressions of animals at dusk and dawn, and thus get a sense of true wilderness, at least for a while.
In addition to traditional animal shows, visitors to MALKIA PARK can also experience guided feeding , a supervised feeding experience or a safari ride. For adults, the park offers a unique opportunity to try out the work of an animal handler, adding to the authenticity and experience of the visit.
Every donation helps keep the animals healthy and happy and extends the park’s conservation mission.
We invite you to join our community of animal lovers and conservationists. Visit Malkia Park and witness the stories of rescue and love that happen here every day.
Let’s be more humane to animals, join us at Malkia Park.
