An interesting lecture awaits you this month. Amchi Lobsang Rabjee is coming to Slovakia. If you would like to learn more about how our mental and physical health functions from the perspective of Tibetan medicine, do not miss this exceptional opportunity to come and hear Amchi Lobsang Rabjee speak.
Amchi Lobsang Rabjee studied traditional Tibetan medicine at the Institute of Tibetan Medicine in Sichuan, Tibet. He was one of the top students in both medical practice and theory. From 2010, he continued his studies at the Qinghai Tibetan Medical Centre, within the Jigmey Tibetan School of Medicine. For those interested in alternative forms of healing—and in meeting an extraordinary individual, a Tibetan monk—this is a unique opportunity. Amchi Lobsang Rabjee still resides in a monastery in Tibet, where he provides medical care to monks and the surrounding villages.
Seminar:
Tibetan medicine is an ancient, 4,000-year-old healing science based on an understanding of the interdependence between body and mind. According to Tibetan medicine, mental and spiritual well-being has a profound impact on physical health. Traditional Tibetan medicine is closely intertwined with the philosophy of Tibetan Buddhism. A holistic perspective and a deep understanding of the origins of illness are combined with precise diagnostics and patient treatment.
Health of Body and Mind
Illness is a journey, and thoughts can destroy the body—affecting the mental, energetic, and ultimately, the physical levels.
An Insight into the Practice of Lojong
We will explore Tibetan medical and therapeutic psychology, as well as its underlying philosophy. Lojong (mind training) fosters mental clarity, compassion, understanding, emotional balance, and inner wisdom, while strengthening the connection between mental and physical health.
Digestive Power and Health
In Tibetan medicine, the study of metabolism teaches that the root of all internal illness is “indigestion”—an inability to process or digest experiences or substances, at any level. This form of indigestion serves as a warning sign, a precursor to physical illness. According to Tibetan medicine, many diseases originate from a weakening of the digestive power.
The seminar will be interpreted from Tibetan into English, and subsequently into Slovak. Therefore, the primary language of the seminar will be Slovak. 🌿
