Ružinov Folklore Festival

The Ružinov Folklore Festival returns with a rich offer of traditional Slovak folk songs and dances. The event full of culture and traditions will take place on 16 November 2024 in the House of Culture Ružinov, at Ružinovská 28.

Get ready for an exceptional day full of colour, music and traditions. On Saturday, 16 November, the Ružinov House of Culture will be transformed into a place where Slovak folk songs, dances and customs will come alive. What could be better than to experience a rich cultural heritage in a pleasant environment where families, friends and folklore lovers will gather?

This year’s event will bring together some of Slovakia’s best-known folklore ensembles, such as DFS Kremienok, FS Karpaty, FS Poľana and Čarovné ostrohy.

One of the attractions of the festival will be the world-renowned exhibition “Trón” by Pavel Surov, a Slovak graphic designer and fashion photographer from Serbia, coming to Bratislava for the first time after successes in Paris, Belgrade and other cities. The exhibition depicts a unique fusion of traditional Balkan costumes and modern art. Raw work highlights female beauty and spirituality through ethnographic symbols and traditions.
