Urban jungle – gardening market

We invite you to our varied market where you will find everything you need for your garden or balcony.

GARDEN HOUSE – a local family-owned business/farm will be bringing a variety of flowers, herbs and seedlings that they have grown in their nurseries in central and western Slovakia. Basic growing equipment will be provided.

QUEEN GARDEN – Mediterranean gardening, which will diversify the offer with typical Mediterranean plants.

In addition, we have prepared a super program for Saturday:

GOOD PEOPLE’S TEAHOUSE – a pop up teahouse with tastings and sales of quality teas from Japan. They will demonstrate tea rituals, matcha tea mixing and you will also be able to taste tea chocolate. The pop up tea room also includes advice on bonsai shaping (11.00 – 19.00).

DANUBIUS BONSAI CLUB – exhibition of bonsai by club members (11.00 – 19.00)

THEATRE UNDER THE GAME – will perform for children the show Yurko and the piglets: Yurko is helped by his piglets on the pasture. They are so adorable that even the princess, for whom many a suitor is vying, is captivated by them. But who will succeed in winning the hand of the princess? (11.00 a.m.)

How can you grow vegetables, fruit and herbs on your balcony or terrace for your own consumption in harmony with nature? And how to encourage the presence of insects and birds in balcony cultivation or how to use the orientation of the balcony to select suitable plants? Find out at the workshop Permaculture on the balcony, which we are preparing for you in cooperation with OZ ŽIVICA. with experienced lecturers and enthusiastic gardeners. From the workshop you will take away a protective plant that repels “scavengers” and we will teach you how to combine balcony planting correctly. You’ll learn what species thrive on balconies facing different cardinal points, with different heat and wind conditions, and we’ll also talk about efficient watering and water conservation. (15.00 – 17.00)
