What would summer be without Uprising Festival? Known as “the festival that brings together people of different countries, cultures, and backgrounds,” Uprising has become an essential part of summer not only in Slovakia but across neighboring countries as well. Founded in 2008, it has grown into Central Europe’s largest reggae festival.

Held at Bratislava’s beautiful Zlaté Piesky lakeside, Uprising Festival offers a unique blend of music, culture, and unforgettable atmosphere.

Sunshine, the lake, heavy basslines, and thousands of people united by the music. Across seven stages, nearly 100 performances will take place, featuring world-renowned legends, massive drum & bass acts, authentic Jamaican vibes, top rap artists, and the very best of the Slovak music scene.

On August 28–29, 2026, Bratislava’s Zlaté Piesky will once again transform into a place where time stands still for two unforgettable days. Every year, thousands of visitors travel here to leave everyday worries behind, celebrate the end of summer, and experience the unique atmosphere that combines music, the beach, the lake, and an incredible community. That’s why festival-goers return to Uprising from all over the world.

This year’s lineup includes Cuban legends Orishas performing in Slovakia for the very first time, reggae stars Protoje, Dub Inc, and Tiken Jah Fakoly, drum & bass icons Andy C and Bou, the explosive Gogol Bordello, hip-hop legend Masta Ace, alongside a strong local lineup featuring Gleb, Strap & Bitman, Moja Reč, A.M.O., Medial Banana, Vec Allstars, Rudeboys Radio, and the Jean Valjean Orchestra.

Throughout both festival days, Slovakia’s top stand-up comedians from Silné Reči will keep the laughs coming, featuring Jakub “Zitron” Ťapák, Michael Szatmary, Joe Trendy, Milan “Docent” Sedliak, Matej Makovický, and Jakub Lužina.

Don’t expect a one-dimensional festival. Uprising offers two days packed with entertainment, four main stages, several smaller stages, and a diverse musical journey covering reggae, Latin, ska, hip-hop, dubstep, and drum & bass.

Visitors can enjoy a wide range of side events, competitions, and interactive activities. The popular Healing Area features meditation, yoga, and sound healing sessions, while the non-musical programme includes panel discussions, lectures, stand-up comedy, creative workshops, and short film screenings. Families are welcome too, with a dedicated Kids’ Zone offering plenty of activities for younger festival-goers.
