What would summer be without the Uprising festival?! “A festival that brings together people of different countries, cultures and races” has become an essential part of summer not only for Slovakia, but also for other neighbouring countries. Founded in 2008, it has grown to become the largest Central European festival that focuses on reggae.

The Uprising Festival at Zlaté Piesky is a unique mix of music, culture, and atmosphere.

Here’s why you should definitely visit it:

🎶 Exceptional music lineup

International stars such as Rudimental, Pendulum (DJ set), Onyx ft. Mad Lion, Chali 2na (Jurassic 5), Don Carlos, Queen Omega, General Levy, and others

Representation of the domestic scene: Prago Union, Supa and Vec, Medial Banana, Heľenine Oči – adding diversity and local flair to the festival.

🌍 Multicultural genre spectrum

Not only reggae, but also ska, dub, hip-hop, drum & bass, jungle, latino, dancehall… with multiple stages and a deep genre mix, which fans have appreciated since the first year in 2008.

🌿 Environment

Zlaté piesky offers a unique festival space – a lake, forests, a pool atmosphere, and new activities such as a biker/ska exhibition, dancehall and capoeira workshops, yoga, and a healing zone for relaxation.

🧘 Balanced entertainment and relaxation

The atmosphere is not just about music – you can spend the day in relaxation zones, at yoga and dance workshops, and at food stalls, and then turn it into an energetic party under the main stage in the evening.

But definitely don’t expect it to be monothemed. It will be two days full of an interesting programme, four main stages, a number of smaller ones and several different genres, from reggae, to Latin, ska, hip-hop, dubstep and dnb.

This festival is not just about music. Uprising is a lifestyle. Visitors can enjoy various side events or competitions in different disciplines. There will also be a Healing Area where activities such as meditation, yoga or sound healing will take place. The non-musical accompanying programme includes discussions, lectures, stand-ups or creative workshops and screenings of short films. The youngest visitors are also welcome, for whom there will be a children’s zone with special activities.
