Science Night, known in previous years as Scientists’ Night, offers a diverse program centered on science.
During this special evening, laboratories, research centers, lecture halls, and observatories- which normally remain behind closed doors – will open their doors to the public.
The program will feature hundreds of experiments, demonstrations, and interactive activities designed for all ages. This year’s theme is communication. Anyone with a thirst for knowledge can meet scientists face-to-face and discover that science isn’t just about complex theories, but above all about discovery and fun.
Leading Czech universities, such as Charles University, the Czech Technical University in Prague (ČVUT), the University of Economics in Prague (VŠE), the Czech University of Life Sciences (ČZU), and Palacký University in Olomouc, as well as research institutes, observatories, and other institutions across the country, will participate in Researchers’ Night.
The tradition of this event in the Czech Republic dates back to 2005. Since 2024, it has been coordinated nationwide by the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague, and Palacký University in Olomouc, which, together with other universities, bridge the gap between the world of research and the general public.
