At the pre-Christmas concert, the winner of the Ján Cikker Prize, pianist Ladislav Fančovič and singer Jana Dekánková will once again immerse Cikker’s tones in the jazz sphere.
These two artists revive the early jazz of the 1920s and 1940s. They interpret hot-jazz or swing music authentically, as you can hear it from the shellac recordings of the first jazzmen, now legends.
The music will transport you to another world, back to the time of the First Republic, refinement, elegant gowns. All this will be enhanced by the space of the beautiful Cikker Villa and the tones of several of his opuses in jazz dress.
After the concert, all visitors are invited to an informal meeting and conversation with the performing artists.
